Functional range condition is a system of joint health and mobility training based on scientific principals and research developed by Dr. Andreo Spina. There are 3 main goals when training using FRC system and all are closely interrelated, and acquired simultaneously:
- mobility development : defined as the extent of controllable flexibility across articulations (flexibility plus strength), refers to the amount of usable motion that one possesses.
- joint strength : while improving mobility and movement potential, the system also acts to give strenght to your joints, so that movement can be executed safely and efficiently
- body control : improves function of your nervous system leading to a reduction of pain and injury, joint health and longevity, as well as an increased ability to move freely and easily with control.
FRC works by systematically expanding the body’s range of motion, while simultaneously teaching the nervous system how to control the newly acquired ranges, improving articular mobility, strength/resilience and neurological control. In essence, this invaluable, and innovative training system improves the ability to control, and move ones own body. Thus improvements in mobility unlock greater ranges of motion with which to develop force output and that improved mobility is also a vital component of agility, defined as the ability to rapidly respond to change by adapting its initial stable configuration. Agility can be though of as utilization of ones mobility, thus, just as with mobility itself, the acquisition of agility is a goal common to all sports and functional activities.
In the process of developing mobility, all articular connective tissue components are strengthened, and neurological control of said tissues enhanced, so the benefits of utilizing the FRC system extend beyond athletic development and performance goals, but as well as rehabilitative process and preserve movement and function, optimize joint health, and slow the progression of the degenerative process. FRC has therefore been safely, and effectively utilized with several clients populations and ages to preserve articular health and joint longevity.
FRC system is a one-to-one work, where by performing precise exercise, the coach will assess your present mobility level and provide a personalized and detailed program based on those results and what you would like to accomplish through the session.

How does it work?
SINGLE SESSION, where the guidelines of the method and its operation will be explained to you. You will provide all the information necessary to understand your skills and the prerequisites to work with.
Together with the teacher, then, you will carry out a series of exercises that will form a small daily routine and, at the same time, an assessment of your state of mobility. In addition to these, you will also be given some exercise to work where there is most need.
The session is about 2 hours long and costs 70€.
COMPLETE PROGRAM, is a complete joint work and training program that is developed on the basis of the first session, where skills and needs are determined.
The duration is 8 weeks during which, in addition to the daily exercise routine, you will receive 2 different training programs differentiated by specificity. Each program is carried out the first time together with the teacher.
There are a total of 3 session, each one around 2 hours long and the program costs 200€.
